Dr. Howie Mell

Emergency/EMS Physician

Bio: Dr. Mell is a board certified Emergency Physician who is also board certified in EMS. He began in emergency services more than 30 years ago as an EMT. Since then, he has been a firefighter paramedic in the Chicago suburbs, been a major incident investigator for the US fire administration, earned degrees in public health and medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and did a residency in emergency medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. Dr. Mell has practiced EMS at every level, and he lectures frequently throughout the country. He is a member of the editorial board for international trauma life support, and currently practices at a Trauma Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.”
